Our story
From a neglected yard to a guesthouse with a garden
We founded the business on 15 June 1991 by buying the buildings of the former municipal services of Rožňava. The site was badly neglected, and only an old skittle alley with a snack bar and the sauna were used now and then. By July we had opened a small bar with a summer terrace, and a year later we reopened the Finnish sauna.
After that we added things bit by bit: greenery in the courtyard, the start of the guesthouse in 1999, a children's playground, the pizzeria in 2001, a rebuilt sauna with a steam bath and a gazebo with a fireplace in 2003. The ground floor of the guesthouse opened in 2010, and the upstairs rooms followed later. In 2017 we put an infrared sauna in the garden, and in 2025 solar panels on the roof and air conditioning in the upstairs rooms.
“Our work needs people who are ready for it, and above all it means giving more than is usual,” we once wrote about ourselves. That is still true today.
