Who processes your personal data
This website and the accommodation at Areál ZAMMA are operated by Mgr. Zlata Marhefková, Kosu Schoppera 29, 048 01 Rožňava, Slovakia. She is the controller responsible for the personal data you give us through the website.
If you have a question about data protection, email zamma@zamma.sk or call +421 905 526 798.
The bar and pizzeria on the premises are run by a separate operator. Food orders you place with them by phone or through their own website are handled by them under their own rules.
What data we collect and why
Online booking and booking enquiry: your name, email, phone number, dates, number of guests, chosen room, extras (such as breakfast, an extra bed or the sauna), your message and, if you add one, the trip plan you put together on the website. We need this to accept your booking, confirm it by email, check availability and prepare your stay. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Sauna booking: your name, phone number or email, date and time, number of people and whether you would like to hire towels and sheets. We use this to book your slot, and it is also passed to the person who runs the wellness area on site. The legal basis is the same as for a booking.
Contact form: your name, email, phone number if you give it, and your message. We use it only to reply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, where your message concerns a stay, steps before entering into a contract.
Guestbook: the name or nickname you enter, plus the title and text of your post. We publish only what you write yourself, and posts appear only after approval. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time, after which we remove your post.
Form protection: to prevent spam and abuse, we briefly process technical data when you submit a form, such as your IP address and the time of sending. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure.
When you actually stay with us, we need the details required by law, for example for the register of guests and for the local accommodation tax. We process these to meet a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
How long we keep data
Bookings and enquiries, sauna bookings and contact form messages that do not lead to a stay are kept for no longer than 12 months after our last contact with you, after which we delete them.
If you stay with us, we keep the data needed for accounting and tax for as long as the law requires (10 years for accounting records).
Guestbook posts stay published until you ask us to remove them.
Technical data used to protect the forms is kept for no longer than 30 days.
Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you and to receive a copy. You can ask us to correct inaccurate data, to delete it or to restrict how we use it. You have the right to data portability for the data you gave us, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw your consent at any time, although this does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
Just email zamma@zamma.sk. We will reply without undue delay and within one month at the latest.
If you believe we are not handling your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, www.dataprotection.gov.sk.
