Answers to what you ask us most

Rooms are ready from 4 pm and should be vacated by 10 am on the day you leave. Leaving later costs an extra €10, and after 1 pm the full nightly rate is charged. The reception is not staffed all day, so please tell us your arrival time beforehand on +421 905 526 798 or by email.

We are sorry, but no. The guesthouse is not set up for animals, so we cannot accept dogs or cats.

Right on site, free of charge. There are 12 parking spaces plus another 8 in the closed courtyard behind the gate.

Yes, wifi is free throughout the guesthouse. We rebuilt the internet network in 2025.

Yes. There is step-free access, an accessible toilet by the reception, and the Beige room (no. 6) is suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Rooms 11 and 12 are upstairs. If you need anything else, please call us before you arrive.

Yes. The grounds are fenced, and the garden has a playground with a rubber safety surface, a slide, four swings, a climbing rope and climbing frames. There is also a children's corner in the bar. For a family with a child we recommend the Orange room with its sofa bed, or the Green or Beige triple rooms. We can also add an extra bed in the Red and Mint rooms.

The main square with its Watchtower is about 600 metres away, and guests tell us it takes them five minutes to get to the centre. There is a shop within 100 metres, a bus stop about 700 metres away and the railway station is 3 km away.

If you cancel within three days of arrival, 50% of the accommodation price is due. If you cancel on the day of arrival or do not turn up, the full accommodation price is charged.

The refundable deposit is €100 to €300. If the room is left in good order with nothing damaged, you get it back on the day you leave.

The city tax of €1.14 per person per night is added to the room price. Breakfast (€7.50 per person per day), an extra bed (€18 per night), the sauna and the infrared sauna are optional. Parking, wifi and the playground are free. You can work out the exact total with the calculator on the prices page.

The Blue room (no. 5) and the Red room (no. 11) have kitchenettes. There is a €5 charge, which is waived for stays of more than two nights. The Red room is let for a minimum of two nights.

Yes, for €7.50 per person per day. Zlatka prepares them herself: coffee, tea, milk, juice, butter, cold meats and cheese, fresh vegetables and bread. Just add breakfast when you book your room.

There is a pizzeria with a bar and a summer terrace right on site. The pizzeria opens daily from 11 am and takes orders and deliveries on +421 58 732 95 97. The menu is at baffycatering.sk/menu. The bar and pizzeria are run by Michal B.

A session costs €7 per person for 2 hours and covers the Finnish and steam saunas, the tepidarium and the foot baths. It is open on Wednesdays for women, Thursdays for men and Saturdays for everyone, from 2 pm to 10 pm. Please book at least an hour ahead with Miroslav on +421 905 526 795. Sessions are for 3 to 8 people.

Yes, by arrangement. On days other than Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday the charge is at least five times the single entry price, paid in advance. To have the sauna to yourselves, a private booking costs eight times the entry price, also paid in advance.

If you stay 3 nights or more, one session in the infrared sauna is free, otherwise it costs €5. It seats 3 people and is booked on +421 905 526 798.

Betliar manor house is about 5 km away, and Krásna Hôrka castle and Krásnohorská Cave lie just east of town. To the south are the Gombasecká and Domica caves, to the north the Dobšinská Ice Cave and the Slovak Paradise.
