Family guesthouse in Rožňava
Seven rooms with terraces set in a green garden, breakfast made by Zlatka, a sauna and parking on site. From here the caves of the Slovak Karst, Betliar manor and Krásna Hôrka castle are all close by.

Areál ZAMMA sits in a quiet zone next to the town park on Kosu Schoppera street. Zlatka and Miroslav Marhefka have been building it up step by step since 1991: the guesthouse, a garden with a rockery and pond, the sauna and a children's playground. Locals in Rožňava still simply call us “the Sauna”.
In our guestbook, it is the people that guests mention most. “She was happy to help and told us what else we could visit. She made a great breakfast too,” wrote Miška and Branko about Zlatka (translated from Slovak).

Doporučuji
We stayed in mid-September. Mrs Zlatka is very pleasant and caring, and everything was exactly as advertised. An excellent location next to a restaurant with a wide choice of good food, parking on site, five minutes to the centre, a superb breakfast and clean rooms. Ideal for a holiday with trips around the area (Betliar, the caves, the Slovak Paradise...). Thank you.

I stayed at your guesthouse for four days. The location, the place and the attention from the staff are wonderful. Clean and very nice. When I come back from Turkey, Areál Zamma will be the first place I stay.
super pobyt
Many thanks to Mrs Marhefková, who keeps the rooms spotlessly clean. We had a great time; she was always happy to help and told us what else we could visit. She also made us a lovely breakfast. We stayed four days and managed to see Betliar, two caves, a short hike in the Slovak Paradise and, on the way home, Spiš Castle too. I definitely recommend this little guesthouse, and the food right on site was excellent as well.
Odporučenie
We stayed at Areál Zamma at the beginning of August and were very happy. The owner's professional yet warm and caring approach set a relaxed, pleasant mood. Excellent, generous breakfasts, spotless rooms, and Mrs Marhefková's readiness to tell us as much as possible about the town and the region, helping us at every step, made it a wonderful trip.
Thank you

Hodnotenie
We were very happy with our stay at Zamma. It's a pleasant place and well located for trips and hikes in the beautiful Slovak Karst and the Slovak Paradise. We recommend it!
dakujem :)
Very nice accommodation; little touches make the stay more pleasant (a chocolate, tea in the room...), and the owner is so obliging. Hats off, I definitely recommend it :)
Maximálna spokojnosť
Thank you very much for the quality accommodation and the fantastic breakfasts I had at your guesthouse. Being able to use the sauna on site is the icing on the cake. But facilities alone don't make a guest happy. Above all of it is the helpful, kind approach of the owners. They truly live up to their slogan, ‘...we'll give you more than you expect...’. If you're travelling around Slovakia, I recommend Areál ZAMMA.
Skvelý hotelík s ešte lepším (ľudsky milým)prístupom :)
I'd like to praise your rooms: you've fitted everything you need into a fairly small space very cleverly, so our room felt cosy and homely. The only improvement we'd suggest is a way to switch off (or shade) the outside lights, as they are quite intrusive in the room at night. And I mustn't forget to thank you for the kind, helpful welcome :) I already know that if I'm ever in your part of the world again, I'll gladly stay at your little hotel :) P.S. My job takes me all over Slovakia, and lately I've stayed in at least 40 different hotels, but Zamma is clearly the best of them :)
The forecast for the next three days. On a rainy day, head underground: inside a cave the weather makes no difference.
