A sauna Rožňava has known for decades

A small wellness area right on site: Finnish and steam saunas, a tepidarium and foot baths, plus an infrared sauna in the garden. Two hours cost €7 per person.

Why locals call us “the Sauna”

We reopened the Finnish sauna back in 1992. In 2002 and 2003 we rebuilt it from top to bottom and added a steam room. It is used by guesthouse guests and by people from Rožňava who have made it a habit.

After a long walk in the Karst hills or a tour of a cave, warmth and quiet are exactly what you need. “Being able to use the sauna in the building is the cherry on the cake,” wrote our guest Saskia (translated from Slovak).

Opening times and prices

The sauna is open on Wednesdays for women, Thursdays for men and Saturdays for everyone, from 2 pm to 10 pm. A session lasts 2 hours including changing time, for 3 to 8 people. Please book at least an hour ahead.

FAQ

  • Do I have to be staying at the guesthouse?

    No, the sauna is open to visitors who are not staying with us too. Just book ahead.

  • What if there are fewer than three of us?

    Sessions are for 3 to 8 people. If there are fewer of you, call Miroslav on +421 905 526 795 and ask what your options are.

  • Do I need to bring my own towel?

    You can, but you do not have to. We hire out a sheet and a sauna towel for €1.
