About this trip

  • 25 km from the guesthouse
  • South towards Plešivec
  • Cave
  • UNESCO

Domica is a UNESCO World Heritage site in the Slovak Karst National Park. Its signature feature is a series of cascading pools.

The cave is linked to Baradla Cave on the Hungarian side, in Aggtelek National Park. If you have a whole day, it is well worth crossing the border to see the Hungarian part of the park as well. The countryside around Domica, Aggtelek and Jósvafő is also good for cycling.

Tips from Zlatka

  • On the way south you pass Gombasecká Cave and the turning for Silická ľadnica.

  • On the same route, close to the Hungarian border, is the Číž thermal spa with its water attractions.
