The ice in Dobšinská Ice Cave renews itself very slowly: replacing the entire ice fill is said to take 1,700 to 2,000 years.
The road to the cave passes Betliar and climbs over the Dobšiná hill, where you can turn off to the Dedinky reservoir. Beyond the cave the road continues through the Stratená Canyon, and at the Ranch under Ostrá skala you can try horse riding.

Bring warm clothes even in summer: this is an ice cave.
Stop at Betliar on the way and make a detour to Dedinky on the way back.
