The Slavošovce Tunnel is about 20 km from the guesthouse, towards Revúca. The route goes through two tunnels and across a viaduct before carrying on through the woods. It is dark inside the tunnel, so don't forget a torch.
If you want to keep going, you can continue into the Muráň Plateau National Park as far as the Muránska lúka meadow, home to ground squirrels. In nearby Slavošovce is the memorial house of Pavol Emanuel Dobšinský, the collector of Slovak folk tales.

A torch is essential: you will not see a thing in the tunnel without one.
Stop at Štítnik or Ochtinská Aragonite Cave on the way.
